Our Books

Introduction to our books

Bookdonors books come primarily from High Street charity shops across Scotland and the UK who use the money they receive from us to fulfil their charitable aims. We also get our books from voluntary organisations who use the money received from Bookdonors to aid their fund raising actions.

Bookdonors also get books from Libraries both public and academic across the UK.

Finally, we get our books from the general public. Although we do only accept large volume of books, the general public are very generous in donating books to us in order to allow us to continue our good work.

Bookdonors deal in a large variety of books and all genres, from block buster paperbacks to academic books.  We also have a large number of pre 1970's books and older antiquarian books.

How to buy from Bookdonors

You can buy books from Bookdonors online from a number of different websites.

www.bookdonors.co.uk  This is Bookdonors own website where all our books available for sale can be viewed and purchased. By buying from us directly you cut out the middle man and this gives us more of your purchase money to do our not for profit work.

Using the simple search facility 'BROWSE OUR BOOKS' type in the name of the author or the name of the book you are looking to purchase. Once the book you are searching for appears, please be sure to read its full description and condition report of the book.

Alternatively click on one of the book covers that appears on our home page to get full information on the book including Price and Post & Packaging.

www.amazon.co.uk  Bookdonors books are also available for sale on the Amazon website.

www.abebooks.com  You can purchase books from Abebooks, particularly if you are interested in older or more unusual books.

Quality Assured Used Books

We carefully check each book and give every book an individual description.

Once ordered, each book is carefully checked again. We have trained members of staff who check that the book matches the description on the Delivery Note.

If during this process we find something amiss we will try to replace the book. If we are unable to replace the copy, we inform our customer - with an explanation and suggested solution.

Each book is then thoroughly cleaned before being passed to our Post Team.
